Evridiki ("Vicky") Poumpouridis, a partner of the firm, received her B.A., cum laude, in English and Comparative Literature, from Columbia College at Columbia University, in 2003, and her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2006. During law school, Ms. Poumpouridis spent a semester at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, where she focused her studies on European law. She is admitted to practice in New York.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Poumpouridis was associated with the international law firm, Winston & Strawn LLP, and prior to that, Nixon Peabody LLP, where she practiced corporate law, specializing in investment funds and mergers and acquisitions. While at Winston & Strawn, Ms. Poumpouridis served as the associate editor of its private equity newsletter. Ms. Poumpouridis has authored articles in the private equity space, and has served as a CLE panelist discussing legal developments affecting investment funds and fund investors.
Ms. Poumpouridis has volunteered as a pro bono attorney with In-Motion, an organization that provides free legal services to low-income women in matrimonial and family law. While at Columbia, Ms. Poumpouridis interned with the Juvenile Rights Division of the Legal Aid Society in Jamaica, New York.
Ms. Poumpouridis serves on the Adoption, Child Custody and Legislation Committees of the Family Law section of the New York State Bar Association and is a member of the New York City Bar Association. She is also a member of the Alumni Association of the Bronx High School of Science, from which she graduated in 1999. In her spare time, Ms. Poumpouridis enjoys volunteering at St. Demetrios High School in Astoria, New York.
Ms. Poumpouridis is fluent in Greek.
